Day - 11 Finale

The final day of girls'Inter house Sports meet 2018 was inagurated today, the 30th of January, with the recital of Holy Quran. The event was fully sponsored by the OGA,OBA and Shanthi Jwellers.The national flag and school flag were hoisted by by the guest of honor Madam Mrs.Malini Menike,
the inspector of police,OIC,Women affairs and child protection and te head of the college Mr.M.M.M Jawad respectively.The house flags were hoisted by the Techer In-Charge and the captains of each house, followed by the national anthem and the college choir.The gathering was addressed by the guest of honor and the head of the college.
The inaguration ceremony was concluded with the official declaration of the final day of the Girl's Inter House Sports Meet 2018 by the guest of honor.
The track events and the athletics were the events for the day.The sports committee had brought down two judges, Madam Mrs.Nishanthini and Madam Mrs.Amarasekara in order to run the phenomenon successfully.The winners of the day and the ground champion for each age group was selected and awarded by the sports committee with the help of the judges. The excitement was filled among the students while the the final points and position of each houses were announced. Accordingly,

Day - 10 Badminton & Rugby

Badminton for girls, yet another milestone in the history of mother Zahira. Badminton was introduced for the first time this year as an event for the girls in the sports meet. The game commenced at around 9.00 a.m at the college basket ball court. Five umpires were present to judge the matches. At the end of the day, the best player was selected with the help of the judges and sports committee and was awarded. The programme for the day concluded when the scores and the positions of the houses were announced.

Day- 08 Basket ball & Football

The basket ball for girls commenced at 9.00 a.m in the college basket ball court. The event was successfully carried out with the cooperation of three judges, madam Mrs.rukshala and her team mates and the sports committee. Miss.M.H.F.suhadha from Nizamiya was honored with the title most valuable player and Miss. M.S.F. Sumaiya from Al-Azhar was honored with the title most defensive player by the judge madam Mrs.Rukashala. At the end of the day final scores and the scores were announces as to conclude the day.

Day- 04 Netball & Carom

Netball for girls initiated at the college main ground at 9.00 a.m with the presence of deputy principal Mrs.A.A.D.Hasana, members of sports committee and members of OGA. sports committee had brought down 7 judges to judge the matches. With cooperation of judges and sports committee the event net ball was successfully carried out. The final scores and the places secured by each houses were announced at the end of the day.

Day - 02 Chess & Elle

The chessfor the day was commenced at 8.15 a.m in the college auditorium. The sports committee had brought down three judges to conduct the matches. The event was separated into 3 rounds each round had 30 matches, making the summation of 90. Each house was supposed to compete with the other 3 houses. Amongst a very tough competition, the best players were selected successfully with the co-operation of three judges and the sports committee. The final scores and the places secured by each houses were announced at the end of the day.

    Day - 01 Carom & Cricket


    The inter house sports meet 2018 for girls was inaugurated today, the 10th of January with the recital of the Holy Quran continued by the event of hoisting the flags. The national flag and the school flag were hoisted by the chief guest Mr.Vekantalla, The assistant directer of Physical Education, Education Office, Mawanella and the college principal Mr. M.M.M.Jawad respectively. The house flags of all four houses were hoisted by the Teacher-In-Charge and the captain of each house, followed by the national anthem and the college hymn by the school choir. The gathering was addressed by the principal, the chief guest and the secretary of sportsmeet Mr.M.Y.M. Nizam. The inauguration ceremony was concluded by the official declaration of the inter-house sportsmeet 2018 by the head of the college.
    following the inaugural ceremony, the inter house sports meet for girls began with Carom as the first event around 9.15 a.m at the college auditorium. six umpires were present to judge the matches. The sports committee and the judges together selected the best players. The day was finally concluded with scores and position of the houses announced.
